Evaluation of antibiotics utility in surgical patients withⅠclass incision in our hospital

  • Objective To investigate the utility and rationality of antibiotics in surgical patients with I class incision and regulate the method of preventive utility of antibiotics in surgery. Methods 166 patients with surgical operation during 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients were given antibiotics. 107 patients were received antibiotics in two hours before the operation. Most patients were received one or two antibiotics during hospitalization. Conclusion Guidelines on the use of antibiotics in surgical patients were not sufficient. It is important for pharmacist to participate in clinical rational administration. It is essential to strengthen the supervision of antibiotics.
