A HPLC method for simultaneous determination of procaine and lidocaine in mixture

  • Procaine and Lidocaine in mixture were separated and simulboeously assayed by Reverse - phase HPLC, using Nova - pack C18 colum, 3.9 × 150min, a mixture of methyl alcohol, water, butylamine, acetic acide(600:400: 1. 2: 1 v/v) as mobile phase, external standard and 238um detector. The average recovery of 99.76% (RSD = 0.530% ), n = 3 for Lidocaine, 99. 44% (RSD 0.502% ) for procaine. The method is simple, rapid and acurate. The components have good liner relation and respative.
